Actually, that is not true in my experience. As a contributor, I have
always had the option of adding my copyright notice. Sun engineers
have explicitly offered this to me for every RTI I've had and I was
told I had the right to do so. However, I have always declined as I
felt that it would be rather silly of me. As far as I'm concerned, I
signed a joint-copyright agreement and my contributors are listed on
the sponsor status page; that's good enough for me.
