Sorry - I meant "copyright", not "depend". In SFW pkgs, this file tends to be a copy of the license, usually the COPYING file from the tarball (or sometimes a shortened version of this, or some other text). (This is where we are inserting the new text for "GPL v2 or later" licenses.) In this case, it looks like a truncated version of the COPYING file, but the new tarball also has some further slight changes (extra copyright years listed, I think?). For completeness sake, it might be worth updating the copyright file also. - Dermot
