As I recall, STN dials the connection.  When it connects the waiting
AOL program which is looking for a lan connection sends the
connection script that AOL requires.  AOL is proprietary in many
ways.  I would recommend having an ISP and using AOL with its bring
your own ISP program.  Performance is better.
