You don't need win2k to check this. I have found out what the problem is:
Ipfwadm ONLY supports TCP, UDP and ICMP. Checkpoint used IP protocol 94 which if you
look in /etc/protocols on a Linux box is IPIP ( IP in IP) aka a tunnel.
To fix this problem STN needs to upgrade the firewall to IPCHAINS which supports more
protocols. As there has not been a release sine 2.1.3 I think we have a dead product.
I have not seen any input from John as to what the future direction is. I hope I am
wrong in my assessment as STN is by far the best product. However, the use of VPN's
for Corporate support (dialin via ISP) mandates that IPCHAINS be supported
Freesco is also using IPFWADM so it is not an alternative. FLOPPYFW does support
IPCHAINS so it may be an option however, it has no DNS support so it does not need my
need for multiple boot diskettes.

withdrew the latest beta version of SecureRemote (my boss's boss was
screaming various words about it during a business trip last week). The
official position of our IT department is that they don't support Windows
2000, but as a software development company we (in development) don't have
that luxury.
If they ever come up with a version that works under Windows 2000, I'd still
be interested in getting it to work. But, one obstacle at a time 8-)
