I agree wholeheartedly w/ you Craig... STN could also use the ability to run
simple scripts, to do such things as allowing it to update PenguinPowered's
DynDNS service (which, IIRC, doesnt have an automatic update feature that is
as simple as the two currently supported), or allowing it to do a simple
sendmail function to alert you when it reboots/reconnects/loses
connectivity.
Also, as one person mentioned, id like to see a trapped packet/ bad web
admin login log.

 *sigh*
I need a keyboard for my Palmpilot. Ouch!

Hi Ian

I don't know about STN being dead quite yet, but its very close. It was the
first in its field by far, and was the best, but its very quickly losing the
race. It needs a lot of new features to keep it viable, such as more Dynamic
DNS services (Free ones), Support for PPTP, and point and click support for
things like ICQ and other such utilities, instead of entering ports
manually. (I don't mind, but for it to be as simple as possible, it needs
these things)

IMHO,
Greg

we have a dead product. I have not seen any input from John as to what the
future direction is. I hope I am wrong in my assessment as STN is by far the
best product. However, the use of VPN's for Corporate support (dialin via
ISP) mandates that IPCHAINS be supported

support IPCHAINS so it may be an option however, it has no DNS support so it
does not need my need for multiple boot diskettes.
