Ok so it could be two things.
1 a faulty network card connected to the cable modem. Which after DHCP goes
in a loop or has big problems with TCP/IP packets.
2 The routers NAT doesn't work anymore. (but then you should be able to ping
the external ip adress.
I think it has something to do with wiring or a faulty network card. You
said something about when you reboot it doesn't work, when does it work
again. After a few hours days?
