a transaxle is a combination of a transmission and the drive axle, so the car has a transmission, and if it is a manually shifted transaxle, then yes, you can have a manual transaxle. If it is a manual transaxle, it will have a clutch. If its an automatic transaxle, it will have a torque converter.
