Hi Kip,
Yes, The later Omni shafts are what you need. When I did the 523 swap in my
Rampage I got a couple of drivers side shafts from 90 Omni donor car. I used
a Daytona intermediate shaft setup to get the equal length configuration.
As far as the cool Heim joint linkage for your swap, Stefan is the guy. I'm
forwarding him a copy of this in case he didn't get it from the SD list.
