Not really, IMHO.... A neon guy blew up his 2.4 turbo swap in his car
just by running sticky street tires and driving a bit spirited into some
freeway onramps. The forces todays contemporary tires street can
generate can equal yesterdays race tires. Those same forces can and
will pull the oil away from your pickup and it doesn't take too long
before you need new bearings or worse a new bottom end.

I guess the point is, that unless you are just driving it slowly like
the rest of the slobs on the road, then don't bother. If you're out
there enjoying some corner carving, then put them in.

The crank scraper frees up some HP, reduces oil foaming and increases
the oil's longevity. Sounds like a great deal to me....

He doesn't have that. Only the 2.5 common block cars got that.

I would strongly suggest a crank scraper and/or windage tray be
installed along with some sort of baffling in the oil pan. Some simple
baffles are cheap/easy to make and install.

my 2.2 tbi common block I used for a buildup had em as well as my
buddies 90
shelby daytona..

crank scraper and baffel is a bit of an overkill unless your looking to
do
some sort of club racing.. just a thought..
