Harold:
I use one of those yellow self-standing
halogen lamps that you can buy at most hardware stores. The lens on it is
4 1/2" x 6" and I'm pretty sure it's got a 500W bulb in it. I keep the
front of the lamp at least 12" from the row of clubs being cured. The heat
will usually spread out to dry a complete set of clubs at one time.
I've played with clubs cured in this
manner in as little as 2 1/2 hours after gluing. If the leftover epoxy
(which I lay beside the clubs during the curing) is any indication, it seems to
be rock hard in just over 2 hours.
The only downside I've seen is that this
type of force drying can sometimes cause a small amount of epoxy to creep out of
the top of the hosel. I usually check them after about 45 minutes and
clean any hosels at that time that may have a bit of soft epoxy on
them.
I know someone else talked about building
a drying box to put the clubs in and I think it was Bernie who used a heating
pad but I've found my method to be too convenient to bother
switching.
