I wrap a length of masking tape tightly around the ferrule/hosel seam.

Hi Chris,

I also have a problem with epoxy oozing out around the ferrule. Heat curing seems a great way to get a quicker cure without the Royal Onyx/SA 2000 worries. The attention required because of the the drooling epoxy is a pain. I wonder if anyone has run across the same glitch and come up with a solution?

Take care,

Speaking of heat containment, I forgot to mention that I set the lamp on a cookie sheet to help shield some of the heat from the top of my workbench.  I don't put anything on the plywood wallboard behind the clubs.  I find it doesn't get as hot as the benchtop.

Chris:
Thanks for the info! I think this method will be safer than the Electric heaters I have been using. I use a cement fiber board as a back stop behind the clubs to somewhat contain the heat with a thermometer attached.
