Thanks for inputs.  I have used PC shafts for several years, in fact my 3,5,7 woods have their EXTRALIGHT shaft and have been playing them for over a year. Works for me.

Because of my advanced age and that of many or my golfing acquaintances, almost all older than myself,  I've been leaning toward very light shafts and heads to reduce stresses on the joints in the drivers I make.  The last two years I've had to cut down a good bit on my playing during winter to let things heal up a bit. Most of the people I play with already have joint replacements, with some being multiple.

I was looking at the Aldila Excelerator UL shaft that are under 50 grams and are frequency specified at 235 cpm for A flex and 245 cpm for R, are 48" long with a 3" P.T.S., according to their spiel at their web site.  They are about $40 bucks at GS so are a bit cheaper than the PowerLite at $48.  The PowerLite is all butt trim and with Grafalloy's problem in providing consistent frequencies on say there R flex I have a hard time building acceptable clubs.
