The Vista Pro 70 S flex is a very stiff shaft and the R actually plays stiffer than the Vista Pro 80 S even though the butt frequencies do not indicate this. Fujikura does not design their shafts around frequency but they do test for it, they use a 7 inch but clamp and I believe a 205 gram weight. These parameters make it difficult to try and match shafts by CPM alone and have little bearing on actually fitting a shaft to a particular golfer using CPM. They measure by pounds of tip and butt deflection on a proprietary machine they designed and built. Swing speed and shaft load are only a couple of things to consider, ability and strength of the golfer play a key role. Insertion depth and head weight are also factors. Rich "Mac" is a big Fujikura guy and I believe if I remember, that he basically goes 1 to 1and half flexes softer and it basically works. As far as Tiger is concerned he was actually using a Pro 95 X which makes the Vista 70 S feel and play much! softer. Hope this helps,
