I have used the aluminum tape that is used by air conditioning installers around their duct work. When I achieve the desired fit, I scuff it up with coarse sandpaper for a good epoxy bond. But too much work to fit properly. > > Another, even easier way to make such adjustments....   We use "flox" as a structural filler in building fiberglas airplanes.  Flox is simply epoxy with cotton fibers mixed into it.  You can use this same principal by getting into your wife's sewing box and finding the largest diameter cotton thread spool.  Simply put epoxy on the tip of the shaft then wrap the tip loosely with the cotton thread to the diameter you need...leave many voids when wrapping for the epoxy to soak into.  Then coat the outside with more epoxy and allow to soak in before inserting into the head.   I have used this for years with never a failure.   TomE
