Be sure to put the furrele on first. > > With all due respect, epoxy will not chemically bond to aluminum foil/tape.  We do epoxy layups on aluminum foil because we know we can easily detach the epoxy layup from the foil.  You might get a mechanical bond by scuffing the surface but will not be a very strong structural bond.  Most likely, the bond you are getting is between what shaft tip is still exposed to the epoxy and a mechanical bond to the inside of the roughened hosel.   I'm certainly not saying it will not work as you have had success with it.  I only caution that it might not be a strong as would be possible with a cotton flox mixture.   TomE
