3M has their DP810 and DP820 acrylic epoxies that work great. The DP810 is
awsume for quick fix sets up in 10 minutes you can get around 4 clubs glued up
before it starts setting. The DP820 you can get a whole set glued up before it
sets in about 20 minutes. The Dp810 is ready to hit in about an hour much
quicker if you heat it up a little bit. Both of these are OK for small runs
but if your doing a decent quantity and you need an economical glue we here at
KZG use G-405 Shafting Epoxy from V.O. Baker (800-321-3572) If you talk to the
wrong sales person they will tell you that there is a $300 minimum order but
you can get them to send you just the G-405 kit if you talk to the right guy,
he says they waive the minimum order level for golf shops. It costs about $35
for 64 ounces of epoxy. When I did the math it came out to about 75 cents per
set of 8 clubs for the glue. They claim a 3 hour set up time but that is at 77
degrees. Best thing to do is to
use a crock pot big enough to place both bottles of glue in it with just
enough water so the bottles don't float. Heat the glue while still unmixed.
Then when you mix the pre heated part A and Part B they will setup very
quickly. How long it takes is a function of how hot you heat up the part A and
B prior to mixing. It has a good Viscosity to it so it doesn't sag too much.
V.O. Baker is a company that makes all kinds of epoxies for all different types
of uses. So buy from the source not the middle man like Golfworks. I mean you
don't really think Golfworks makes their own epoxy do you ???

I am not fond of thin epoxies. I'd like to know which
brands are of a more "normal" viscosity than GW's.
