It was such a simple question.
Prop 13 is largely responsible for where we are in California. Immigration
(legal and illegal) and the subsequent shift in demographics is a factor (a
larger percentage of low income people). So is the end of the Cold War and
subsequent reduction in defense spending and the dot com bust. All that
coupled with the obscenely partisan politics disease we seem to share with
the rest of the country and you're in the boat we're in today. It's still
a pretty great boat - just not the luxury liner of days past.

You know it amazes me still that you guys still buy into these expensive
shafts. When I worked at HotStix I had access to all kinds of high end
stuff for free . Accra, Diamana, Fujikura, Aldila, Grapite Design, Matrix
and the rest for free, and none of them performed any better than a well
fitted well built $40 shaft. At one point I had 3 woods in my bag with
$1500 worth of shafts in them. And this love affair with the Voodoo line
even though nano tube dust has been linked with serious cancers ( the same
type that asbestos causes) is just insane. I know I won't allow them in
my shop and I have a great double vacuum dust collecting system with a
custom hood on my chop saw and a vacuum table as well! I am sure Aldila
will tell you it's safe but that's not what independent reports from
scientists and doctors say!!!!! It's just not worth the risk!!!! Get
over the hype and take more value in your health.
