Gotta agree. Google seems to be willing to rest on its laurels as far as maps is concerned. They used to be far and away the best, and their aerial views were a wonder. But the rest of the world has caught up, and some have passed them.

Try <http://maps.live.com/>. Yeah, I know. It galls me that it's Microsoft. But I have to give them credit when they get something right. Their aerials are more up-to-date than Google. Also they don't have large areas of blurry or B&W aerials where Google does. There are a few golf courses I've looked up that I was about to play, or had recently played, where the Google aerial was worthless but the Live.com aerial was crisp. Also, Live.com has the "birds eye" view, which is really good. There are "holes" in its coverage, but Google has nothing that comes close.
