Is there anything you know of that I can soak or spray the rust with as a first step to make the process any easier? Thanks for your quick response. Keith

Keith,

As in most things concerning golf, it depends! If they are forged heads chances are the plating is peeling or wearing off. Wearing off is probably not the case if its in the cavity area. With forged theres not much you can do short of having them re-plated.

If they are cast a cleaning with a fine steel wool followed by a wax job should do the trick. I don't like demels for this because they can be a little agressive.

Aloha all! Can I get some tips on removing rust from the cavity backs of irons. I would like to clean up some Titleist heads (model # escapes me) and want to make it as easy as possible. I have a dremel tool if that helps. Keith
