I just had more time to look over the condition target code (both kernel and iptables) and don't foresee any problems with introducing this new parameter - I might have a working copy of these changes by the weekend. If that happens, would you be willing to change the way shorewall initialises the switches? If so, you may need to introduce some sort of new/old condition match capability though.
