Great, thanks! It'd be great if Export had an option such as "Overwrite original files". The user could either select custom location (like now) or choose to overwrite files (no need to browse and find the correct file locations, which is annoying and time consuming).

Best,

Hi Jaakko,

One day, we would like Shotwell to keep a fully-transformed version of
every photo on disk, which is to say that all your edits would be "in
the file." We even have an open feature request for this functionality
in our bug tracking database here:
http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/1798.

Until we implement this feature, there is a work-around that most
users find straightforward. If you want a file on disk containing all
of the edits you've applied to a photo, just export the photo using
the "File" > "Export..." menu option. Shotwell will write all the
edits into a photo file of a type and size of your choosing.

Cheers,
Lucas

Hi!

Shotwell performs non-destructive editing. Is there a way to actually
perform all the edits I have done to my photos? I didn't know about
non-destructiveness and I had edited a several photos and I would like the
photo files to be really edited.

It would be nice if there was something like "Save changes to the file" for
a photo or "Save all modified photos" to save all the changes you have to in
your whole library.

Thanks!
Jaakko
