Hi,
for the next version of shotwell, will there be any option to re-combine
RAW+JPEG?
I'm looking forward to shotwell 0.14 with the recent RAW fixes. I'm also
trying the shotwell development ppa on a non production machine with a
copy of my photo database. So far, things seem to improve, thanks a lot
for taking up development again for this great photo management application!
But my old photo database is a bit messed up. Often, RAW and JPEG are
not properly paired. In some cases, the embedded JPEG has been extracted
and been used instead of the Camera developed JPEG which was beside the
RAW file. As for now, there does seem to be good handling for new
imports from camera, while I cannot find a way to re-combine old
RAW+JPEG pairs and get rid of the _embedded version.
I really hope, there will be something to handle this old photos. I do
not understand why shotwell uses the embedded version as development at
all (except for the thumbnail).
