Pedantic can be good! It reminds us of the little problems we have become 
accustomed to through daily exposure, but that should really be fixed.

tangogps downloads map tiles on demand, and afaik doesn't ship with any map 
tiles, so if you didn't have a network connection of some kind you would see a 
white screen even if you did have a gps fix. Showing a 'waiting for tile' 
placeholder image when no tile is available would be a useful enhancement.

The status bar at the bottom shows detailed gps information, as well as when 
map tiles are being fetched. Most of the gps info is labelled, but the 
satellite info is not. Perhaps a 'Waiting for GPS fix' message would be 
better, like the 'No GPS found' message if GPS isn't available.
