Note that that page is not helpful.  If the settings aren't persistant, 
there is little value in me using the gui to set them.  Then there is 
a bunch of information about the OLD way to do it.  Then there is an
almost content free block about the new way which just points you to

/etc/freesmartphone/conf/GTA02/fsodeviced.conf

but that file has a COMPLETELY EMPTY power control block.  The
kernel_idle block has some stuff but are those entries explained?  What is
a prelock?  Which field turns it all off?  Is kernel_idle the right thing?

I don't want to idle the kernel, I want to idle my freerunner.

This is the problem with the tutorial.  It doesn't tell a story.

The tutorial goes on to say that you can put a copy in your home directory.
BUT it doesn't explain the merge semantics.  Is the file appended to the end
of the system one?  Does it replace it?  Is it conjunctive?  Disjunctive?
