Note that that page is not helpful. If the settings aren't persistant, there is little value in me using the gui to set them. Then there is a bunch of information about the OLD way to do it. Then there is an almost content free block about the new way which just points you to /etc/freesmartphone/conf/GTA02/fsodeviced.conf but that file has a COMPLETELY EMPTY power control block. The kernel_idle block has some stuff but are those entries explained? What is a prelock? Which field turns it all off? Is kernel_idle the right thing? I don't want to idle the kernel, I want to idle my freerunner. This is the problem with the tutorial. It doesn't tell a story. The tutorial goes on to say that you can put a copy in your home directory. BUT it doesn't explain the merge semantics. Is the file appended to the end of the system one? Does it replace it?
