Hi,

I'm trying to turn a couple of Neo Freerunners into dummy clients for one
specific application. All i do is boot SHR, start a webbrowser and display a
small web application. During testing i ran into a couple of issues which i
hope you can help me with.

- Every now and then GPRS seems to disconnect, i don't think this is because
of some idle time, because i ping the server regularly. What is the best way
to keep an GPRS connection alive and what is the correct way of reconnecting
if it fails?
(I've used the method described in
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/GPRS_FSO#Enable_on-demand_GPRS_at_boot to
enable gprs at boot)

- power usage of the devices seems to be extreme. I think the battery drains
in an hour or so. What can i do to minimize the power usage? I need almost
nothing of it's functionality, so i guess i should disable things as GPS,
bluetooth, etc..
Is it sufficient to remove the init files of these services from startup or
should i explicitly disable these components?

- Is it possible to skip Enlightment/Illume and run Midori straight on the X
server?

The first 2 questions are obviously the most important and the issue with
GPRS is a showstopper at the moment.

Kind regards and thanks for all the nice work on SHR,

Bart
