Thanks for the suggestion. This seems to be a weird recipe. Changing
PR causes it to fail to build. The original PR in xserver-xorg_1.9.4.bb
is PR = "${INC_PR}.0"
Bumping the .0 to .1 fails; it looks like it tries to reapply the
patches. I commented out the patch lines in the recipe and built the
attached package. (oops, attachement was too big, get it here:

I also see the problem with dpi changing after a few rotations. I spent
a little time looking at omnewrotate and seeing if a command to reset
the screen size could be added as a workaround.

You should bump the PR value in the recipe, then you can install the package
