Moderate badness in the Monday meeting was due to my laptop communication
problems. Suggestions welcome as how to handle such a situation better. Pkt
loss for me varied 0-33-50-100%. Help desk and NOC were unable to diagnose.

On hotel wireless, I see congestion (judged by ping latencies) and slowness
from time to time, but nothing as debilitating as in the conference center. It
was not only in the room, it was everywhere. More diagnosis attempts with help
desk today, else I will have to find alternate platform for Wed meeting.

Chris and I have equal access to meeting materials, webex codes, etc. so we
have backup in case one laptop fails. Which was the only way we were able to
progress this time.

I should have printed everything. People snicker at those who carry paper, but
paper doesn't have pkt loss, or congestion, or blue screen, etc.

Subject: Re: [sidr] Interim Meeting Dates/Locations (Proposed)

I am content to have interim meetings iff the WG commits to improving
the technical facilities for remote participants. That was fumbled
badly at the San Diego interim meeting and moderately badly today.
We need to do better.

To encourage us to do better, I suggest that the first of these
interims (on whatever date; see below) be virtual-only. If we
continue to have technical foibles, I suggest that the remaining
interims be cancelled entirely.

Neither of these Fridays work for me (June 29th at all, July 27th in
person) due to prior commitments, and the Monday is dicey. My general
preference would be to have these meetings midweek (Tues/Wed/Thurs),
thereby avoiding weekend-impinging travel.

But that's World IPv6 Launch Day! (No real objection.)
