i used to use my pnp modem in slackware 3.3
i used to compile it in ( by adding a tool called pnp for kernel ,
helped my creative soundblaster and usr 33.6)
but now that i have switched to redhat the compilation was done as usual
but
i cant dial using /etc/ppp/ppp-on
minicom detects my modem dials it
but ppp-on dives the error ( in connect -errors)
that ppp-on-dialer cant be found which is there in /etc/ppp
and the mode on it is also 777 so that is not a problem
but now i am at my wits end
any clues tips etc
does anyone have any ideas
