Supermicro used to be the way to go; I have a supermicro board which has
given me 0.0 problems. A couple of months ago I was chatting with the sys
admin at Deja News and ask him what they were using now (they build all
their own systems and run the entire operation on linux). Previously they
had also been using Supermicro, but found some bugs in the dual processor
boards which Supermicro was slow to fix. They switched to Asus and have
been happy since.

Does anyone know if one still needs to be on the lookout for the 64MB
cache limit problem? Apparently some chip sets are designed so that only
the first 64MB of RAM are cached. The consequences are that people who
upgrade from 64MB to 128MB suddenly find their systems running much slower
than before.
