I remember back in '99 when christ wrote:

You ceratinly can run 2 xservers at once.
Sometimes I do:
startx -- -bpp 8
and then somewhere else
startx -- :1 -bpp 32
when I want to see how programs react to different color depths. Then
you have to X sessions open.
