Hmm, I've never had much trouble with it, and I've done it several
times. Often the hardest part is finding a fan that's the right size ...
I wish PC's could monitor things like fan speed an internal
temperature like workstations can ... I know that the new MB's offer
cpu temperature and fan speed readings, but we need the PS too. I've
had more than one fan go belly up and some part of the system fry
because of it. Now I typically go for multiple fans, but even so,
it's not always obvious when one of them goes ...

As far as I know, they're *all* UL-listed. As if they had to be by
law or something. But maybe I'm wrong.
