i tried re-running Xconfigurator now, and it got through all the configuring
steps successfully. but when it was trying to test the configuration, it
brought up the graphical interface or whatever, and displayed a grey message
box in the center which asked yes or no. and before i even have to time to
answer yes or no, it freezes.
i changed my xinitrc file so that it would load kde. when i upgraded to RH6
it had changed it from kde to twm or something like that. and now it gets so
far as to load the whole k desktop and everything, and THEN freeze. im
assuming some program is being loaded which is freezing my computer. but i
dont know how to find that out, or what files to look in....
