well, when I was installing my debian, I set up the disk as follow.
/dev/hda1 * 1 25 200781 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 26 50 200812+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 51 75 200812+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda4 76 269 1558305 5 Extended
/dev/hda5 76 91 128488+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda6 92 142 409626 83 Linux
/dev/hda7 143 269 1020096 83 Linux
this left about 7G on the free space as I want to be able to create a
partition when ever I want.
now that I want to try to set up vmware, I get into fdisk, but when I
tried to use "n" to add partition, it told me that no free space left. I
think I am pretty sure that I can leave free space on the drive un-touched
since I done this before (unless I was dreaming)...so. can anyone tell me
where I am doing wrong..also, has anyone tried out vmware? looks really
nice...
