You'll have to define what you want a bit better. First, define request in
this context. Provide some examples if you aren't sure how to phrase your
query.
Do you want www.hosta.net's ip to point to www.hostb.net?
or do you want http://www.hosta.net/foo to forward to
http://www.hostb.net/foo ?
Both can be done.

I *wish* I had an old pentium 133 ;)
Solaris/Mandrake/RedHat/Debian/AIX: All of these can do what you want.
What is maybe more important is what other people on the list use, since
you will be asking us for help in the future (most likely). Or if you have
friends who know UNIX well (use what they use).
Anyways, I know RedHat quite well. A lot of people on the list use Debian
and they can help you with that.
Most questions apply to Linux and not a specific distribution.
Many others apply to Unix and not a specific o/s.
(except for distribution installation issues.)
If, perhaps, my roommate wanted to install Linux, I would recommend
Mandrake, since I can support that quite well.
IOW, choose Mandrake, Redhat, or Debian. All are well-supported here.
