You could try a Tekram 315U board (ultra narrow - 50 pin HD) - no on-board
BIOS for booting SCSI devices, but it's only $20 from dynastyexpress.com and
supported in Linux (as well as recent driver revisions from Tekram for
Windows9x/ME/2K).
