I'm one of the journos who attended the event and Phil is 100% right -
Influence is a great way to meet lots of media at the same time and
get to base camp with us, instead of being far more anonymous by going
down the usual PR route. Show us some love, startup folks, and you'll
get some love back. And the usual steaming pile of journalistic
cynicism, of course! But you've got to get thick-skinned enough to
cope with that anyway, so why not start now ...
