A few other things to keep in mind when paying yourself (this is easy to miss in doing any budget) - 9% goes to super. This applies on both payg and director fee's. Its an easy one to forget. Not sure if super can be calmed as an R&D expense. (?)
Also, consider this - if you are consulting say 20hours per week and that pays you X dollars a week and in addition you do 40 hours a week on development for the next big thing - you have worked 60 hours a week the company. lets say 90% of those 40 hours are pure r&d related. so that's 36hours. You can still calm 36/60 => 60% of any salary you pay yourself towards the R&D offset. ie. you are paid to work for the company, that work is split between consulting, admin and r&d. (this should be confirmed by "accounting" type people), you are not only paid just for the consulting. This is also an important idea to get your head around. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Silicon Beach Australia mailing list.
