We've found this invaluable in the shared office we're in too. We're
now partnering with another web company in the office on a lot of our
work. Leads have flowed around the office. And even just being within
earshot of people much more experienced with business you pick up tips
and techniques that would be hard to pick any other way.

OrionVM moved our team in here in July this year, and it has been
awesome. The team environment in this office is great, there is
synergies within each company's fields. The best part for a start-up
is the ability to shout out and ask questions at the drop of a hat
to a bunch of people who have done it before, and are more than

People like the Gradconnection boys, Brokepacker/Adlibre and Jack

Many of you will probably know that GradConnection runs a small shared
office with 5 other start ups in the CBD. Originally called Project
Hollywood and now called Startpad.
The premise is very simple, we charge $250 per month per desk to
basically cover costs, and allow tech startups to have a home within
the CBD. Included is power and internet.
We have found this shared office environment to be awesome, so we want
to expand it from 15 desks to 50 desks in January next year.
The space we are currently looking at is
- CBD

- 50 desks
- 2 Meeting rooms
- 1 Board room
- 1 tea room, 1 breakout room
- a whole lot of awesome
We want to keep this space purely in the technology startup community.
If you think your startup might be interested in moving into our new
office environment then please reply below so I can gather a contact
list to work with. In order for this to work, we will need to have a
small number of companies outside the current startpad ones committed
to the cause.
Also any suggestions or tips on how what this kind of office will need
would be greatly appreciated.
