The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai has been a haven through the years. In 2025, besides concerts - Carnatic and Western Classical, and jazz - screenings of productions from the New York Metropolitan Opera (Salome, Aida, Fidelio, Tosca, Figaro, the Barber of Seville), and the National Theatre in London (Streetcar Named Desire, The Importance of Being Earnest, Dr. Strangelove, The Fifth Step), have provided much needed respite from the news.

Kind regards,

Ingrid Srinath

You may find the 'Comfort Reads' or 'Competence Porn' genre of books interesting. Like _The Martian_ or _The Murderbot_ series by Martha Welles.
