Suraj's your man for musical commentary. I listen to a lot of DK
Pattamal, which makes me wince a lot more when I hear her granddaughter

Not too impressed with Sowmya either .. and as for the fireworks
merchants among the male artistes (OS Arun for example).. sheesh. I
have fond memories of MS singing Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma - and then
hearing Bhimsen Joshi sing it at one of the events in Nrityagram. Then
wandered into a music store and they were playing an OS Arun CD, where
he was singing the song. I never walked out of a store so fast I can
tell you
