Unfortunately "pro-active war" is a Bush-Blair reaction. Wars cannot be started lightly - especially in the light of what you have yourself said - and I quote below: > of 'greatest indians ever' ....most of it included politicians, > scientists, cricket players, actors etc...i hardly > saw anybody mention a param-vir chakra winner (the highest military > award for bravery) or a famous > general . does anybody even remember five names from these ranks? Incidentally I can name more than five - but I belong to a minority. That is part of the problem IMO Did you know that Infosys donated Rs 1 crore (10 Million rupees) or some such humongous figure as aid for the earthquake victims of Pakistan. Jamaat ud Dawa, a Pakistani Islamic charity - has used earthquake relief funds to fund terror training. Infosys was one of the companies that argued against military action after the Indian parliament was attacked in 2002. If you look at silk-list archives - you will find that we have already had more exchanges trying to prove that no threat existed to airlines than the total number of messages posted about the Mumbai bomb blasts that killed 200 plus people last month. To me that is an indicator of the priorities and mindest of the average educated Indian. If there is terror in India we don't notice. If terror is alleged in the West we end up blaming Bush and Blair. What is it with Indians? shiv
