It is obvious why Infosys would do that. It affects their business.
There are hard $$$ behind that move and no pacifist motive as
Infy PR would have you believe.

If you look at silk-list archives - you will find that we have already had
more exchanges trying to prove that no threat existed to airlines than the
total number of messages posted about the Mumbai bomb blasts that killed 200
plus people last month. To me that is an indicator of the priorities and
mindest of the average educated Indian.

The airline security is just security theatre as Bruce Schneier calls it.

we end up blaming Bush and Blair. What is it with Indians?

Indians have a way of working around difficulties. Otherwise known as
'Jugad' in the north or the 'Chalta hai' attitude in Mumbai  or the 'Swalpa
Adjust Maadi' attitude of Bangalore. History supports this. I read this
quote on a website and it sums up the American foreign policy.

"Be nice to America or we will bring democracy to your country." :-)
