I joined the Silkist sometime in 2007. 7 years on Silk, then, not as old as the regulars, but quite a respectable amount of time heh? I joined because there were quite a few mentions on different blogs I was following and was curious. This was also the time when the introvert in me was completely missing in action and I was signing up for a lot of fora, trying to absorb a lot of new stuff and meet a lot of new people. Since the time I joined, I have met a fair number of old Silk people, and a bunch of new Silk people too. I have begun trimming my email and replying in-line as much as possible.
