They developed a silver based burn treatment back in the early 60's,
I think. Creams with silver particles, or silver nitrate, I can't
remember which. If you search medical journal archives for articles
about "silver" you'll turn up some of these reports.

Be well,

Mike D.

Dear Mike,
It is called Silvadene, I think. The doc put some on my son, who was 9 at
the time, after he got a 3rd degree burn from dropping the popcorn maker on
his thigh.
A week later it was still red and oozing. We went to an indoor swapmeet, and
the fellow at the Melaleuca booth noted the burn, and asked to put some on
it. I said yes, and he told us to come back in 1 hour. We did, by then the
burn was a dry black scab, which dropped off a few days later with NO scar!
You know how burns usually scar terribly. His burn was a smooth white mark.
I was sold on Melaleuca. It and CS are my 2 main health mainstays!
Marsha
