Dear Tami, I`m so glad CS is helping! Sounds like the vet was shooting in the dark. Phenobarb is for seizures, (which my Pug Willy has,) and Ami is an old med for depression. I took Prozac for depression when I was ill with Lyme. Since CS came into my life, I have no more Lyme and no more depression or PMS either. I do believe that CS can elevate the mood, how, who knows? Maybe by raising endorphins, or some such thing. Oh, to be able to do proper research... A dog doing repetitive stuff is similar to OCD in people, obsessive-compulsive disorder, which responds to Prozac. Ergo, CS and Prozac both work for that! Amazing stuff! Since to body eliminates CS easily, go ahead and keep giving her the dose. It won`t hurt her. You can clean her nose wrinkle and ears out with it too. Pugs, such amazing little people in dog suits...I`ve been owned by them for 34 years now! Good luck! Love, Marsha, Willy, and Tashy PS, I sure wish CS would stop the pain of dysplastic hips...poor Tashy has a lot of pain. :o( -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
