Evening Chuck,
You are using the easiest method devised.
You could over simplify, if you tried. <grin>
Maybe the best, not sure it is the easiest. Maybe the most foolproof also.
>> You are at a perfect place with 1.4 ma.
Your CS will be of high quality which you will spoil by raising the
current.
Is there a chance that the constant current does not work if the
mS is too low? Zero does not draw much of anything does it?
It may be taking too long to get up to the 1.4 ma.
Yes, it takes a long time. That's what it takes with LVDC systems.
If he was real sick, he might die before the CS completes.
Once upon a time, I had a fever for a few days.
I made 16 ounces in 15 minutes, drank it and went to bed.
I work up 5 hours later and felt different. Guess what ?
Temp was 98.6
So, ........ 15 hours is too long for me. I will never spend that long to
make a batch of anything, unless it is counterfeit money.
There are other methods such as HVDC involving thousands of volts.
They are not simple, and can be dangerous.
I have a 5000 volt transformer. If I could find some diodes with this
high rating, that should be enough.
I have read about high voltage for Colloidal Gold but not much on CS.
Still two ways to make Wine, One by the seat of the pants and one by the
book. Heck, I always went by the book.
Maybe CS is the same way.
