Hi Dan. Thank you very much for these instructions. They certainly are more simple than I imagined and I am happy to have them.

Faith,

Here's how to make CS (colloidal silver) without having to
buy a cs maker. Yes, you have to buy a few things, but it
should not be too complicated or expensive.

1. Buy two silver wires each about 5 to 10 inches long
(shorter is cheaper, but longer may be preferable in the
long run). The wire should be 99.9% silver (fine silver) or
purer. Get 12 gage wire if possible. These wires are the electrodes.

2. Buy two wires with alligator clips on the ends from Radio
Shack. You will use these to connect the electrodes to the
battery.

3. Buy three 9 Volt batteries.

4. Buy 1 gallon of distilled water from the grocery store.

5. Get one clean glass or jar, probably about 8 to 12 ounce
size.

This is all you need to make the CS.

1. Clean out the glass or jar by washing it in the
dishwasher. Rinse it thoroughly several times with regular
tap water, and then do the same with distilled water. (This
is to make sure there is no soap residue in the jar. You may
dry or wipe with white paper towels or napkins.)

2. Put a small bend in the silver wire pieces near one end
so it can hang from the edge of the container and the bend
will support it at the rim. If the wire is too long to fit
into the glass, bend it so that it makes a "U" shape. The
bent up piece should run next to the glass too, not protrude
into the center of the glass.

3. Rinse off the silver wires with the distilled water and
rub with a clean white paper towel. Try not to touch again
with fingers any part of the wire that will be inside the
glass. Use the paper towel to grab it.

4. Hang the two silver wires in the glass so they hang from
the edge of the glass. The wires should be on opposite
sides of the glass.

5. Snap the (+) end of one battery to the (-) end of another battery. (Note: Don't snap both the (+) and (-) of the same batteries together.) One terminal of each battery should be free. Snap one of these free terminals to the third battery. One terminal of each of the end batteries should be free.

6. Connect one clip of the Radio Shack wire to one of the exposed battery terminals and the other end to one of the silver wires at the outside rim of the glass. Connect the other Radio Shack wire to the other battery terminal and to the other silver wire.

7. Fill the jar with distilled water to just below the rim. The Radio Shack wire clips should not touch the water.

Now you are making colloidal silver! The electricity runs from one side of the battery through the wire to one silver electrode, through the water and into the other silver electrode, and on through the connection wire to the other side of the battery.

The biggest problem with this setup is deciding when you are done. I'd let it go for an hour or two and stop when there is a fair amount of buildup of crud on the electrode which is connected to the negative side of the batteries. When this happens, disconnect the wires from the batteries and silver wires, gently remove the silver wires and wipe them off with the paper towel and wrap them in a clean piece of paper towel for storage. Pour the CS into your storage container and wipe out the glass with a paper towel. Cover the glass so it will stay clean.

That's it. You can get more elaborate later on if you wish, but try it this simple way first.

(It is interesting to shine a flashlight from the back of the glass while brewing the CS after about an hour and seeing what comes off the silver wires into the water when the process gets going...)
