Their prices are 3 times too high.  They are ripoffs.

Batteries are normally chemically powered.

You can make a battery from a bottle or water, other containers,
a hole in the ground, and many ways.

However good batteries of any capacity are not cheap and usually out of reach of primitive countries.

I have a friend that travels to primitive countries and is building a cheap stove so they can cook supper. It takes an average of 6 hours hunting and gathering junk sticks and wood to cook supper each day. The cost of the stove is about $ 20.00

It could be easier to give them a bicycle with a generator or alternator installed.
