Apparently small quantities of ClO2 are not particularly toxic to the
body since it is used for drinking water treatment with full FDA (which
doesn't mean anything) and EPA (which does mean something) approval.

Some back-of-the-napkin calculations...

Jim's book indicates that 6 drops of MMS properly prepared produces 1mg
of CLO2 each hour for 12 hours. If I am interpreting this correctly,
that is 12mg per day.

The report that I saw indicated that adverse affects only occurred at
concentrations above 5mg/kg/day. (That is, kg of body weight.)

If the average person is 70kg, that means the dose of 6 drops of MMS
gives 12mg/70kg/day or
0.17mg/kg/day.

This dose is about 30 times lower than the problem dose indicated.

(Nevertheless, I saw some indications that might indicate potential
risks if taken during pregnancy or infancy.
This is just my personal impression, I can't back it up one way or the
other with actual data.)
