Despite what some people claim, it *is* possible to take enough CS to disrupt your intestinal flora. In general it doesn't, because silver is mostly inactive in the semi-solid medium of the intestinal contents, but with enough for long enough you can disrupt things. I did this once or twice, and had aches in my back, the large muscles of my thighs and calves, and so on. Overall "it just hurts to move" kind of achiness. I happened to read that malabsorption of key minerals, notably calcium, is one of the consequences of destroying the flora, and the symptoms I was having were associated with an acute calcium deficiency. With that in mind, I was able to reverse the aches and pains with a single glass of calcium supplemented orange juice from the grocery store. Literally within a half hour the worst of the pain was gone. Now, that's probably not the cleverest way to reverse the problem, and others can certainly suggest better supplement regimens, but the idea may be worth investigating. *IF* this is what you've done, you'll need to start restoring your flora and electrolyte balance with some probiotics and mineral supplements. One thing to think about... Be well, Mike D.
